PSHE

We deliver a comprehensive PSHE curriculum through the Jigsaw scheme of learning, a mindful and progressive approach that places emotional literacy at the heart of our pupils' development. The journey begins with 'Being Me in My World', where children explore their identity and sense of belonging, followed by 'Celebrating Difference', which fosters a deep respect for uniqueness and underpins our anti-bullying ethos. As children grow, the 'Dreams and Goals' puzzle piece encourages them to build resilience and navigate the emotions of achievement, while 'Healthy Me' provides the essential tools for making safe and positive lifestyle choices. To ensure our pupils flourish socially, the 'Relationships' unit focuses on building healthy, empathetic connections, culminating in the 'Changing Me' theme, which sensitively prepares children to cope positively with life's transitions.

This teaching intrinsically links to our school's Four Bees- Be Kind, Be Respectful, Be Safe, and Be Responsible- ensuring our values are lived out daily. Super Turtle symbolises our Growth Mindset and Learning Powers including co-operation, concentration, improving, curiosity, imagination, never giving up, enjoying learning and having a go. Furthermore, pupil voice is central to Fleetville; our Caring School Committee works actively to help make key decisions, support fund raising events and represent the school at various events ensuring that every child feels valued, safe, and equipped with the life skills and confidence needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
