Our School

Fleetville Infant and Nursery School is a popular three-form entry academy which caters for local children from three plus to seven plus. The original school was built in 1908, and is a building of great warmth and character. It has been extended and improved over time and there is also a separate hall and a Nursery block built in the 1970s.

There are nine classes in the Infant School and a separate nursery, totalling just over 300 children. There are 3 classes in each year group and class sizes are all 30. The nursery takes 45 children. We operate a single entry model with all children starting school and nursery in September. The school population reflects the rich diversity of our local community.

We are part of an extended schools’ local partnership and provide access to the full core offer of extended services including; after school, breakfast and holiday out of hours child care (“FACES” club) as well as family support and counselling. The school facilities are also let to different community groups and an active PTA supports the school.

We are proud to have been graded as Outstanding by OFSTED in our last two inspections and continue to strive to be the best we can be.
