Spring 2 - Go Wild

This half-term we are learning to:
  • Plan and write a story using ‘Lost and Found’ as a stimulus.
  • Research for and write non-fiction reports on a specific animal and animal habitat.
  • Write calligram poems using a range of interesting vocabulary and techniques.
  • Solve addition and subtraction money problems, including giving change in pounds and pence.
  • Identify, describe, compare, order and sort 2D and 3D shapes based on their properties.
  • Use mathematical vocabulary to describe position, direction and movement.
  • Develop and refine skills and tactics for taking part in field athletics.
  • Create and perform gymnastic sequences with increasing control and balance.
  • Design and create an animal habitat scene using wood structures
  • Research, describe and create a timeline of the historical figure, Charles Darwin.
  • Describe and re-tell the Easter Story from the Christian religion.
  • Explore, investigate, identify and name a variety of living things and their natural habitats.
  • Use technology to create, organise, store, manipulate and retrieve digital content safely.
  • Compose and perform a musical piece and create a musical score.
