Richard Davies, Co-Chair of Governors

Rich was First elected to the Local School Committee in December 2018 and was subsequently re-elected in December 2022. He works for Multiverse,an apprenticeship provider and was previously on the management team at Ark – a large multi-academy trust that also provides curriculum and teacher development.  Rich holds masters degrees in Engineering, Business and Education from Oxford and Stanford.

Matt Shute Co-Chair

Matt joined the Local School Committee in September 2020 and has one child who attends the school. Matt works as both a Paramedic and an Emergency Planning and Resilience Officer for the London Ambulance Service. In his role, he helps to ensure the Trust is prepared to respond to a wide range of incidents, operations and events, providing specialist advice if needed to various command roles across the organisation.

Joanne joined the LSC in January 2019 and has 1 child at the school. She works at Bishop’s Stortford College where she is Head of Pre-Prep. She has been teaching for 22 years in both the State and Independent sectors. She brings expansive educational knowledge and experience to the role.

Sarah was previously employed as the School Business Manager at the school. She left her role to spend more time with her family but wanted to continue to offer her support and contribute to the success of the school. She joined the Local School Committee in August 2021. Sarah works as an exam invigilator at a secondary school in Harpenden.

Tamasin joined the Local School Committee in December 2022 and has one child who attends the school. Tamasin works as a HR Consultant advising organisations around the UK on people and business matters. Tamasin is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD with 20 years in the profession, and holds a masters degree in HR Management.

Jennie joined the Local School Committee in May 2023. She is a retired Director of Nursing and has expertise in safeguarding, governance, quality and safety. Jennie currently works as a coach, a Trustee on the board of a local charity and an advisor to a GP Federation in central London.

Lorna Tan 

Lorna worked in the healthcare profession before joining the education sector. Both her children attended Fleetville Infant and Junior School. She would like to contribute to the ongoing success of Fleetville Infant School and its local community and help every child fully access the school curriculum. Having worked as a teaching assistant in both the state and independent sector, Lorna hopes that her experience will be an asset to the Board of Governors and to the school. Lorna's passion is in promoting the pleasure of reading to enrich children's learning. She also has a love of food and has now delegated the joys of cooking to her children.
