Autumn 2 - Towers, Tunnels and Turrets

Are you standing to attention?

Practise your bow as we are off to see the Queen!

Climbing the battlements or tunneling in the ground,

there's a whole world of adventure and fun to be found!

This term we will visit a real castle, home to our Queen, to explore the battlements and maybe a secret tunnel or two! We'll learn the story of Rapunzel and compare two authors' versions of this traditional tale. We will explore towers and tunnels around the world. Watch out for our worms as we observe tunneling in nature. We'll find out about the amazing Victorian engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel and we will become news readers as we report our findings. In PE we will develop our attacking and defending skills by playing tactical games.

March to the beat with your hands and your feet as our marching bands are coming!
